TSS Youth Sailing, Inc.
About Us
TSS Youth Sailing, Inc., is a federal 501(c)(3) charity and a Florida non-profit organization. Our primary purpose is teaching kids and teens to sail, an activity that fosters responsibility, teamwork, and awareness.
Sailing adventures can change the course of a young person’s life. Sailors are a diverse community, respectful of each other and the natural environment. Sailing builds bonds across generations and geography and skills and friendships that can last a lifetime.
From the first day, young sailors, ages 7 to 17, are on the water in small boats, having fun and learning the ropes in a safe, organized program of sailing activities. They are rigging, launching, sailing and landing a small sailboat single-handedly. Advanced students are sharpening their skills for enhanced performance.
Our instructors are certified to teach by U.S. Sailing, the national authority. Our instructors and assistants are also certified for CPR, First Aid and Boating Safety.
We are committed to promoting the sport of sailing.
Are you an adult interested in sailing? You might want to consider a membership with our host organization, the Tampa Sailing Squadron, 1250 Apollo Beach Blvd, Apollo Beach, FL 33572. For additional information about membership with the Squadron, please contact [email protected].
If membership isn't for you, we are always looking for volunteers to help with our programs and maintain out boats and equipment. Let us know what you think about our programs! Your ideas are important to us and help our programs grow. You can contact us at [email protected].
